His musical journey began at just 15 years old in Memphis, Tennessee, with a group called The Montegos. From those early days, he quickly found himself performing professionally alongside some of the most respected names in soul and R&B.
He had the opportunity to back legendary artists including O.V. Wright and Ann Peebles, while becoming part of the rich Memphis music scene surrounding Hi Records, home of artists such as Al Green.
His journey continued with The Changing Scene, the Jackie Wilson and Joe Simon Review, and his own band’s 45 single, “Magic Love,” released through King Records of Nashville.
These early experiences laid the foundation for a career built on talent, dedication, and a lifelong passion for music.
